The best way to describe a game of Water Polo is a combination between soccer and basketball played in a deep pool. Like soccer or basketball, the aim is to outscore your opponent by passing the ball to team members across the pool and scoring goals. It is a vigorous and intense game and very popular among people who enjoy the best of both a water and team sport.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT AGE GROUP MY ATHLETE IS IN? USAWP age group eligibility based on the athleteʼs age as of August 1st each year.

10 & Under Ages: 10, 9, 8, or 7 on August 1st, 2024 Birthday: Between 8/2/2013 and 8/1/2017
12 & Under Ages: 11 or 12 on August 1st, 2024 Birthday: Between 8/2/2011 and 8/1/2013
14 & Under Ages: 13 or 14 on August 1st, 2024 Birthday: Between 8/2/2009 and 8/1/2011

IS THERE A TEAM UNIFORM? YES. Purchasing a team swimsuit for water polo is essential for several reasons: (1) uniformity and team spirit & a sense of belonging, (2) performance specific to the demands of the sport, (3) identification by referees. coaches, parents, team members. Team Store Link

DOES it cost extra to participate in tournaments? Tournament fees are not covered by the registration fees paid at the beginning of each session. You are required to pay the fee ONLY if your athlete participates in a tournament.

Where are games located? Most games are located within an hour from the area. Tourney: Santa Barbara, Ventura, Oxnard, Santa Paula, Filmore, Pasadena, San Fernando Valley
